This project was desgned as part of a course about design in the public space in Israel.
For the past year and a half I have been living above a major intersection and for the first time in my life dealing with the noise effects of the city. I feel the discomfort and tension that street noise puts into my home, which has inspired me to produce a project that focuses on the problem of noise pollution and especially the sirens around me.
My project is a campaign that encourages involvement on the part of drivers on busy urban roads. it reminds drivers that in each of the buildings around it live people who are affected by the noise, whether directly or indirectly.
The campaign encourages drivers to reduce the amount of their sirens when driving on urban roads and not to activate
sirens unnecessarily.
